How to Use Essential Oils Topically

Always Dilute Essential Oils

Essential oils are highly concentrated natural compounds extracted from plants.  In the distillation process, the most powerful healing compounds of the plant are captured in oil form.  Citrus oils are cold pressed from the peels, where most of the nutrients of the fruit are held.

One must dilute essential oils before use. Never ingest these oils without strict orders from your licensed practitioner! The safest and most effective form of applications is topically.  In the industry, the rule of thumb is 8 parts carrier oil to 1 part essential oil(s).

Wild Herb's carrier oil of choice for diluting essential oils is grapeseed oil.  We choose this particular oil because it penetrates the skin the fastest and deepest out of all other carrier oils. This will enable you to get the most benefit from your essential oils.

Be sure to check out our wide variety of essential oils, including our Wild Herb Exclusive Blend essential oils and our ever growing list of 'special order' oils. Wild Herb 100% pure essential oils come directly from certified organic distillers. We carry only the highest grade of oils for use in aromatherapy, topical application and DIY bath and body products. You may also use them in candle making but the scent throw may not be strong enough for some.
