Maintaining your largest organ
Maintaining your skin is highly important for maintaining overall good health. Your skin protects your entire body from infectious diseases and germs. Having glowing skin is quite appealing but the condition of your skin can also be an indicator of your health. The skin care industry is huge and with so many products on the market, can be overwhelming.
To start with, you should feed your body and your skin the most natural products possible. Washing your skin regularly definitely helps fight germs, however, be sure to watch the ingredients in the soap you are putting on your skin. Chemicals will dry out your skin and may cause further damage than good. Wild Herb Soap Co. LLC offers all natural soap with a unique base formula. Our soap bars produce a thick, rich lather and can also be used as shampoo bars and shaving cream. What a healthy start to maintaining healthy skin.
Next, exfoliating your skin is an important factor in skin health maintenance. By exfoliating once or twice a week, you will remove the top layer of dead skin and reveal the new radiating fresh layer below. This process also helps to tone the skin. Exfoliating also helps to clean out the pores, which may help with pimples and blackheads.
**NOTE: Caution should be used when using body scrubs, as the surface may become very slippery.

Next, moisturizing your skin is vital. Not only will keeping moisture on your skin protect it but moisturizing it will also keep it tone. Be sure to eat a healthy diet. Fruits and vegetables are important for your body, of course, but also for your skin. Foods high in vitamins A, C and E all contribute to healthy skin. Vitamin A can aid in preventing dryness and thereby reducing wrinkles. Vitamin C has been known to boost collagen and elastin. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that fights free radicals, which can damage your skin.
Avoiding added sugars is highly recommended in skin care maintenance. Historically, sugar has been known to cause premature wrinkles and sagging skin. This is because sugar causes a spike in your insulin, which leads to a burst of inflammation in your body. Inflammation produces enzymes that break down collagen and elastin, resulting in sagging and wrinkling skin.
In addition to a healthy diet be sure to drink plenty of water. Keeping your body hydrated means you are also hydrating your skin. Traditionally it is recommended that you drink 8 cups of water per day.
By using natural products, eating healthy and drinking plenty of water, you are on your way to maintaining healthy skin. Of course, there are more ways to maintain your healthy glow but we wanted to point out some of the finer points.
Start your skin maintenance now with Wild Herb’s natural products.
